My Fair Lady is a musical about a Cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, who is transformed into a lady by Professor Henry Higgins through speech and etiquette lessons as part of a bet. The plot explores themes of class, transformation, and identity, culminating in a new relationship for Eliza as she becomes too refined for her old life but too independent to be Higgins's creation. The musical is based on George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion and features a famous score by Lerner and Loewe.
