My Fair Lady has a number of principal roles (listed here) but the ensemble is also very important (We are looking for 10 or so performers for the ensemble).
Format: The audition will consist of two parts. One room for music and singing and the other for acting.
Music: For those seeking a principle role we recommend you prepare one minute of a song. Some music you bring, or accapella (There will be musical accompaniment. If you are seeking an ensemble role we can have something simple for you at the audition like “Happy Birthday”.
Performance and Acting: We will want to hear a monologue that is no more than 1 minute in length. This can be one you bring or one of the sides at the link below. Memorization of these monologues is not required but will be a consideration especially for a principle role.

Description: My Fair Lady is a musical about a Cockney flower girl, Eliza Doolittle, who is transformed into a lady by Professor Henry Higgins through speech and etiquette lessons as part of a bet. The plot explores themes of class, transformation, and identity, culminating in a new relationship for Eliza as she becomes too refined for her old life but too independent to be Higgins's creation. The musical is based on George Bernard Shaw's play Pygmalion and features a famous score by Lerner and Loewe.
Character Descriptions:
ELIZA DOOLITTLE*: A cockney flower girl from Lisson Grove working outside Covent Garden. Her potential to become “a lady” becomes the object of a bet between Higgins and Pickering.
COLONEL PICKERING*: Retired British officer with colonial experience and the author of “Spoken Sanskrit".
MRS. EYNSFORD-HILL: A friend of Mrs. Higgins and Freddy's mother.
MRS. HIGGINS: Henry's long-suffering mother.
HENRY HIGGINS*: British, upper class professional bachelor, world famous phonetics expert, teacher and author of “Higgins Universal Alphabet.”
FREDDY EYNSFORD-HILL*: Upper class young man who becomes completely smitten with Eliza.
ALFRED P. DOOLITTLE: Eliza's father; an elderly but vigorous dustman.
BARTENDER: George, works the Tottenham Court Road Pub.
HARRY: Drinking companion of Alfred Doolittle.
JAMIE: Drinking companion of Alfred Doolittle.
MRS. PEARCE: Henry Higgins housekeeper.
MRS. HOPKINS: A cockney woman of Tottenham Court.
