Crossing Delancey by Susan Sandler
Directed by Chuck Dluhy
Isabelle is a young, Jewish woman who lives alone in uptown Manhattan and works in a bookshop. She considers herself a modern woman, independent and free to live her life as she pleases with or without a man in her life. When she is not pining after Tyler, a very handsome author, she visits her doting Bubbie (grandmother) on the Lower East Side. This delightfully nosey old lady and her friend Hannah, the matchmaker, have found a “good catch” for Isabelle – Sam, the quiet, intellectual pickle vendor in the neighborhood. Traditional values clash with modern times in this wonderful romantic comedy that will have you laughing and touch your heart!
